Ordering from FotoKard.com-A writer's experience

     I wanted a business card that was professional, personal, and original – a card a stranger might actually read.  
Four-color offset printers offered only standard business cards; I could choose the paper and the color of the ink, 
even add a logo or picture, but the card would still be forgettable, a design dud.  

     Then I saw a photo business card: the impact of full color, printed on glossy photographic paper, made that card one I wanted to keep.  So I searched the web and found FotoKard, who promised me the pizzazz of photo cards at a price comparable to an offset printer.

        To start I needed a basis for my card, a focal point that was unusual and memorable.  
As a writer, I might have chosen books or paper and pen; but my specialties were more important – wild cats and soft science fiction.  I chose one of my own photographs for the card: “Tigers in a Tub”.

      I sent the picture to FotoKard with suggestions: eliminate the cage and clutter in the background, put my name across the top, demographic information on the left, professional information on the right.

       Within two days FotoKard e-mailed me a proof.  I wanted changes, and the designer complied.  
He was helpful, prompt, and creative; he even tried to match the colors in the letters of my name to the fur of a tiger.

      It took several proofs, but FotoKard responded quickly and correctly each time. 
I gave my final approval and had my cards in my hands within three days.

The cards were everything I had hoped for. 
They were much sharper in resolution and more brilliant in color than the samples on the web site could show. 
They were more professional than I what I could create on business card stock with my color inkjet printer and a clipart program; they were more striking than anything an offset printer could produce; they had been designed from the comfort of my living room with a professional; and they were delivered to my door in less time than a conventional printer would take to get around to me.

My experience with FotoKard was unbelievably positive.  
The process was quick and easy, the price was affordable, and the final product was perfect – business cards with impact.
